Mini Pizzas
The most enthusiastic little chefs you've ever seen
EARLY CHILDHOOD ACTIVITIES

There is something about mini pizzas that brings out the absolute best in children aged 4–6.
Maybe it's the toppings. Maybe it's the fact that they get their very own personal pizza. Maybe it's the stretching of the dough or the spreading of the sauce or the very serious business of choosing what goes on top.
Whatever it is, mini pizzas are one of those cooking activities where children are completely, joyfully absorbed from start to finish - and the results are genuinely delicious. Dinner and an activity, all in one.
Why This Recipe Works for Kids Aged 4–6
Mini pizzas are wonderful for this age group because every step is achievable and satisfying. Pressing and stretching the dough feels like play. Spreading the sauce is immensely satisfying.
And choosing toppings gives children real decision-making power over their meal - which at this age is enormously motivating.
They're also endlessly adaptable - every child gets exactly what they want on theirs, which means no complaints at the dinner table!

Cool slightly before eating - they will be very hot!

Kim's Tips 💕
The two-ingredient yoghurt dough is brilliant - no yeast, no waiting, and children can make it almost entirely themselves.
Set up a topping station with small bowls of different ingredients and let children build their pizza their way.
Take a photo of each child's creation before it goes in the oven - the pride on their faces is everything!
This works beautifully as a lunch, dinner or even a special weekend activity.
